At Audibling you see in advance what you pay. The price includes ear impressions and you pay at the hearing centre. Here you will find the current prices of all our custom earplugs, the extra costs for options and what you pay as a business.
Current prices per custom earplug
Every pair of custom earplugs is made to measure and comes with a cord, a clip and a storage case. The ear impressions at the hearing centre are included in the price. The price depends on the use, the material and the colour.

Made to measure
Every pair of custom earplugs is made from an impression of your ear, in our own lab Audiform in Kilder. No standard size, but an earplug that only fits you.
Material
Hard acrylic is firm and easy to clean. Soft silicone gives extra wearing comfort and costs extra.
Colour
Clear is the base. A standard colour or a custom colour of your choice costs a little more.
Filter
The DR filter for general use is included. For a DM, DI or DIM filter you pay an extra cost.
Personalisation
A logo print (patent pending) or a jewel in silver, gold or rose gold makes your earplugs entirely yours.
Reimbursement and your employer
Reimbursement through your health insurance
Basic health insurance (basisverzekering) does not cover custom earplugs as hearing protection. Of the nine health insurers we checked, only two contribute in 2026, from some of their supplementary policies.
What does your employer need to arrange?
Under the Dutch Working Conditions Decree (Arbobesluit), an employer must provide hearing protection if daily noise exposure is 80 dB(A) or more. Above 85 dB(A), wearing hearing protection is compulsory. Do you work in a noisy environment? Then ask whether your employer provides custom earplugs.

Questions about the price
Why are custom earplugs more expensive than ordinary earplugs?
Custom earplugs are made to measure from an impression of your ear, in our own lab in the Netherlands. You get a fixed fit, a high-quality membrane filter and an earplug you use again and again, instead of disposable plugs. When universal earplugs are enough and when custom earplugs are a better fit is explained in Loop earplugs or custom earplugs.
Is the filter included in the price?
Yes, the DR filter for general use is included in the price as standard. If you choose a DM, DI or DIM filter, you pay an extra cost. You can see it above and straight away when you design your earplugs.
Are the ear impressions included in the price?
Yes. The hearing care professional takes impressions of your ears, and that is included in the price. You pay at the hearing centre, and you do not pay anything online for custom earplugs. An extra filter set for earplugs you already have can be ordered online.
What does a logo or jewel cost?
Logo print and jewels have a fixed extra cost. The current prices are above, under “How the price is built up”.
Are the prices including VAT?
Yes, all prices on our site include VAT. Business prices in the calculator are excluding VAT.
Do I get a different price as a business?
For businesses we put together a personal offer. Business custom earplugs start at €148 per person excl. VAT, and the bigger the team, the lower the price per employee.
