Frequently asked questions
What happens once your design is ready?
You save your design as a PDF or write down your design code. You use it to book an appointment at a partner hearing centre. The hearing care professional takes impressions of your ears, which are included in the price. With those impressions we make your custom earplugs in our Dutch lab.
Where do I pay for my earplugs?
At the hearing centre, not online. The price you see here includes the ear impressions. Extra filter sets that you add to your design are listed in your PDF and are also paid at the hearing centre.
Can I have my own logo put on the earplugs?
Yes, from 10 pairs, for example for your company, club or association. At step 4, choose Your own logo and upload your logo. You see straight away how it looks on your earplugs and roughly what it costs. Then you request a quote with your design. For fewer than 10 pairs, choose one of our standard logos.
Where do I have my ear impressions taken?
At one of our partner hearing centres. The hearing centre map shows where they are. Bring your design code or the PDF of your design to the appointment. For companies with 10 or more people, we also take ear impressions on site.
How are the ear impressions taken?
You book an appointment at a partner hearing centre and give your design code or bring the PDF. The hearing care professional puts some impression material in your ear. It feels a little cool and sets in about five minutes. Taking an impression takes 10 to 15 minutes on average. The ear impressions are included in the price and you pay at the hearing centre.
How long does it take?
Your earplugs are ready about three weeks after your ear impressions are taken. The time until your appointment at the hearing centre comes on top of that. You agree with your hearing care professional whether you collect them or have them sent to you.
Which filter suits me?
That depends on where you wear your earplugs. DR is for general use, DM for music and communication, DI for industry and construction and DIM for loud bangs, such as from shooting and hunting. Not sure? Use the filter finder. If you start it at step 3 with Help me choose, the rest of your design stays as it is.
Can I use a different filter later?
Yes. The filters are interchangeable, so for a different level of protection you only replace the filter. You do not need new earplugs. You order a different filter as an extra filter set with two filters.
